The Association
Association of Industries of Thessaly and Central Greece (AITCG) is a legal non-profit entity, operating under private law, established in 1966 in Volos, covering mainly, the geographic regions of Thessaly and Sterea Ellada, central part of Greece.
AITCG is the main union organization of manufacturing companies in both regions, and a dynamic regional association of the country.
Since its foundation, the AITCG is active to promote sustainable private sector growth, industrial development, economic and social progress of the regions, but also of the country.
Members of the Association are manufacturing companies of all sizes, from small companies to large units, across different sectors of economy, as well as sectoral, regional or local business organisations.

AITCG PRIORITIES
In order to fulfil its missions and targets the AITCG:
- Represents the co-operative interests of its enterprises-members on labour issues and takes part in local, regional and even national institutionalised committees, promoting the business community’s viewpoints.
- Forms specialised working groups, making proposals to improve the legislative and regulatory framework of entrepreneurship.
- Participates in the public consultation submitting remarks and making suggestions supporting entrepreneurship.
- Collaborates with Hellenic Federation of Enterprises and the other Regional Industrial Associations, as well as with local and regional agencies supporting entrepreneurship, promoting, developing and reinforcing the competitiveness of the Greek economy.
- Participates in National and European Programmes, deploying the resources of European Commission’s Investment and Structural Funds, aiming to amplify the competitiveness of businesses.
- Provides quality services, legal support and timely updates to enterprises, in business matters in line with European priorities, towards a digital, climate neutral, export-oriented economy with high value skills.
- Monitors the activity of the industrial and manufacturing companies in Greece, in EU and in third countries, informing its member business accordingly.
- Organises and implements events, seminars, business symposia, thematic workshops, training sessions, according to enterprise’s interest and needs.
- Conducts studies for local, regional and national matters, as well as researches obtaining quantitative and qualitative economic data
- Collaborates with Academic Institutions and Research Centres, strengthening the links between business and academic community, promoting innovation and technology transfer.
